1. You don’t clean it.

Now, this one’s obvious; cleaning your computer often can improve its performance or even make it quieter. That being said, I don’t mean just cleaning your computer from the outside, I mean cleaning your computer from the inside as well. Usually, it can be as simple as lifting off the side panel and using some compressed air to blow the dust away. Never, under any circumstance, blow the air off with your mouth as the water molecules in your mouth can damage the parts in your computer. If you’re unsure, contact us herewith your computers’ make and model and we’ll be happy to help.

2. You don’t keep your anti virus up-to-date.

Your anti virus is probably one of the most important pieces of software on your computer. Without it, you are exposed to many viruses or trojans. That said, you may think that you’re ‘all set to go’ but have you ever paid any attention to your anti virus? Seriously, your anti virus could be out-of-date without you ever knowing! By simply opening your anti virus once in a while, you can check it’s status and if it needs updating, because an anti virus that’s not up-to-date is the same as not having an anti virus installed at all. If you need an new anti virus, contact us here and we’ll hook you up with a new anti virus in no time!

3. You click on advertisements that claim there’s something wrong with your computer.

When was the last time you saw an advertisement on your computer claiming that your computer is ‘in danger’ and ‘needs fixing right now’? Chances are, these pop-ups are just from companies trying to scare you into downloading their products. What’s worse is that these ‘programmes’ often cause more harm than good by slowing down your computer to a halt so you pay for their ‘premium products’ that claim to rectify the issue. 9 times out of 10, the issue becomes worse. If you believe that you may have installed some of these programmes on your computer, drop in or contact us here and we’ll happily remove them for you.
